On the morning of July 8, 2026, at the Da Nang Port Logistics Center (Ba Na Commune), Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company solemnly held the launch ceremony of Smart Logistics Service Da Nang (SMRT). The establishment marks a strategic step toward completing a modern logistics service supply chain, with the goal of positioning Da Nang Port as a leading logistics hub in Central Vietnam.
Representing Da Nang Port were Mr. Nguyen Tuong Anh, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Tran Le Tuan, Chief Executive Officer; members of the Executive Management Board; full-time members of the Board of Directors; members of the Supervisory Board; representatives of the Trade Union and Youth Union; heads and deputy heads of affiliated units; and leaders of member joint stock companies.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Yang Xianxiang, Chairman of the Members’ Council of SITC Group, expressed his pleasure at the establishment of Smart Logistics Service Da Nang, emphasizing that it was not a coincidence but the inevitable outcome of a strategic convergence of three factors: “Location – Technology – Understanding.” SITC has always regarded Da Nang Port as its “home” in Central Vietnam and believes that, with Da Nang Port’s 125 years of experience and SITC’s international operating capabilities, the SMRT joint venture will soon become an outstanding model of international cooperation in the logistics sector.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Anh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Da Nang Port, emphasized:
“We believe that combining Da Nang Port’s port operation capabilities and infrastructure advantages with SITC Group’s shipping network and international logistics expertise will create powerful synergies, enabling the Company to grow rapidly and efficiently while gradually establishing a strong position in the market.For Da Nang Port, Smart Logistics Service Da Nang is an important link in our long-term development strategy. We expect the Company to contribute to completing our integrated logistics service chain, expanding connections with international markets, attracting additional cargo volumes, and strengthening the competitiveness of Da Nang Port as well as the Central Vietnam region.As a founding shareholder, the Board of Directors of Da Nang Port will continue to support the necessary directions and decisions to enable the Company to maximize the advantages of the joint-venture model, achieve efficient and sustainable growth, and deliver long-term value to shareholders, customers and partners.”
Located at the Da Nang Port Logistics Center, a new strategic operating area of the Company, SMRT is tasked with optimizing warehousing, transportation and cargo distribution solutions through smart technology platforms. Integrating “Smart” solutions into operational processes will not only help reduce logistics costs but also accelerate cargo flows, improve operational efficiency and deliver a superior service experience to customers. This also represents an important piece in the roadmap toward realizing the “Green and Smart Port” model that Da Nang Port is pursuing.
Speaking after receiving the Certificate of Establishment, Mr. Le Hong Nam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SMRT, said:

Building on Da Nang Port’s port operating experience, SITC’s global service network connectivity, and the support of shipping lines, logistics partners, agents and domestic and international customers, SMRT is expected to rapidly become a trusted partner within the regional container logistics chain.
The launch of SMRT also marks an important milestone in the series of activities celebrating the 125th anniversary of Da Nang Port (September 1, 1901 – September 1, 2026), further reaffirming the Company’s position and sustainable development vision as it continues its journey toward new goals.
